Help needed !! Body half off and the boot has shut

Help Me if you can!!

I am currently in the process of taking the body off the chassis to repair some damage to the Outriggers and give the chassis a good clean up and painting. I was half way through the removal of the chassis and someone (while I wasn't there honestly!!) shut the boot.

As the car is an S3 with the electric boot release, I have no idea of how to release the boot, I have already taken the engine out, so there are disconnected wires everywhere.

I have already removed the bolts through the boot but haven't removed any of the pipes to the fuel tank or the fuel filler.

Is there any way of getting to them other than through the boot or any way of releasing the boot?

I assume the normal emergency release is still in place. But it will probably be easier to use the electrical release. If the electrics have been disconnected etc, you may find it's best to apply 12v directly to the relay socket rather than power up the whole loom. You'd need a 12V battery earthed to the vehicle earth(s), and connect the positive terminal to the output terminal of the relay socket for the boot release. If in doubt just try each rfelay in turn until it opens.
