Christmas Hoon/Meet

Don't know if anyone is interested in a meet/hoon/drink in between Christmas & New Year.
You know what its like, fed up eating,watching tv, playing board games and talking to relatives you haven't seen since last Christmas.
(Have you still got that funny car in the garage type talk)

A Meeting somewhere in the Midlands would be good.

TVR Blues Run - Tuesday 27th December

As many of you will be aware this has turned into an annual Cambridgeshire event over recent years and is just a good excuse go for a blast in the TVR, catch up with friends and enjoy a good lunch.

I mentioned it in the "owners locations" thread. Haven't actually got round to sorting it yet though, it was just a suggestion..... I'm normally in a convoy of one so having received more than one in response means it will be worthwhile me giving it some serious thought!

However I don't think Mrs L will be too chuffed if I arrange a meet BEFORE our kitchen is finished but I can do some thinking around a meeting point / route etc for the Xmas holiday period. Leave it with me and I'll post something soon........

Hi, on the Midlands forum there's a thread been run recently where a wedge owner now runs a pub at Preston near Uppingham, don't know if that's suitable for people?

I'm in Uppingham and Preston is only a 10 min walk away, not that I'd be walking if there were a load of S's there!!

It'd be a good venue - it's easy to find from all directions, I think it has a reasonable size carpark and there are some good routes we could take from there for a hoon. I'll call in one evening in the next week and check it out.

Ian, the owners called Mark (mark387mw). I went in about 4wks ago and said hello but on the bike. Pub's nice inside and the other thread said the food's good. Beer's from a local brewery, just had one with riding but 'twas good!

It's all subject to your location of course but we had a great drive up to see Mark and a few other PH'ers at Preston recently.

A warm welcome, good food and beer as reported in the Midlands forum. We would recommend a visit. Car park isn't huge (about 20-25 spaces) but great roads in the area.

I'm up for it!
