£17k on Ebay for an "as new" V8S - havin' a laugh surely

£17k no bids and reserve not met. I mean I know it looks gorgeous, and as when it left the factory, but 500 miles after 12 years - it'll need a good mechanical going over before being used in anger to ensure everything really is OK. The bushes, engine mounts and other rubber/perishable items must be in a bit of a poor state by now ?

Isn't that the same one that was on PH classifieds a while back advertised as part of a private collection.

Not a bad price for effectively a brand new V8 sports car.

There is a market for good examples Stu, I know of two 'concourse' examples which have gone for £15.5K in the last year or so, so not as far off the mark as you would think? Although I would think between £15-16K is more like it! The lack of mileage would worry me too, I would prefer a car like Andy's as at least its driven occasionally.

Lets hope he gets it, might push up the second hand values a bit.....

I just saw this on ebay, cant quite beleive its worth 17K.
Surely it will need new shocks & springs, they've still held its weight for 14 years.

Lovely to see it tho, in a way i'd like it to go into another collection so that in 30 years there will still be 1 perfect one in existance.

Supply and demand will determine if its worth it, for a classsic V8 in as new condition I don't think that is an unreasonable price myself.
