hi my s has got a new fault will drive for miles then the engine cuts out think its fuel starvation ? if i turn the ign off and on a few times so the pump cutts out it will run fine for a while any one got any ideas before i take the tank off. also dose anyne have a tank bracket for sale

As a first guess try the fuel pump relay. They are notorious for going u/s.
Fuel pumps usually go extremely noisy before any major loss. You can normally tell the state of the pump from the current draw.

Had the same problem with my S1. Very intermittent fault, and hence difficult to trace. Ended up changing all sorts of parts including the metering unit thanks to "advice". Eventually the fault was traced to a relay.

Check the fuel lines have not cracked as they are getting on now......

also check the fuel pressure regulator aint leaking, this caused similar probs on my S. WARNING if it is leaking do not start the engine due to its proximity to the dizzy.... it could be goodnight vienna.

The above should fix it, but if not then check the state of the inertia cutoff switch. I don't think that taking the tank out will get you anywhere.

also could be a short

check the fuel pump connector over the rear trailing arm
