OK, seem to have lost out on Mike's (Silverback) S3c so my pal is still on the lookout.

Any other likely candidates out there?

Cheers.

Sorry for the delay Graham. That's a difficult question because it's obviously "as little as possible"

To be honest he would really like a car that needs a bit of work - mainly to keep cost down. He's not necessarily after 'stealing' one, so each proposal would be considered individually.

Are you thinking of letting your go then? Email me through profile with more details and your guide price.

Thanks, Roger.

Mike's old car wouldn't have been the right one for your mate at all; not a porject car at all as its had a lot spent on it by the last two owners..

I'm sure the right one will be along soon. Took me best part of 6 months to find each of the ones I've had, and I should think that in a couple of months there will be a couple that come out of winter storage and need just a little more doing than the present owner can manage to get it back on the road. Seems sadly enough to happen most years, but does give a few people who want projects the chance to get one..

Hi Simon. I agree that a lot of work had been done on Mike's. I could also see more to do which would have kept my mate off the streets for a while. I think it would have been OK.

Never mind, it looks like it's gone to a good home - and there will be others along soon. Maybe Graham's below? (or above, depending how you have your viewer set )

Thanks.

Thanks Ian - Really wants an S3 (2.9) or S3c (better).

That one on fleabay is a potential cheap project but could end up a never-ending one.

Depends on what sort of project he is after. I am doing up my S at the moment. Done loads of work, but there always seems to be something to do. Respray and new hood soon. Then fit new clutch and get petrol guage working, got new sender to modify and fit.
I was nearly tempted to sell it recently but don't seem to be able to give up the old girl as she is fast and fun.

So what are you saying then Jim? Selling/Not selling or what?

Thanks Pistol, he bought the BRG one in the classifieds. 1992, average miles, average condition, so need a few bits - but a very genuine car. Haven't seen it myself yet but he's like a dog with three c0cks!

Thanks also to all who tried to help.
