After 846 days my S3 is back on the road. I've rebuilt it from the ground up and have just driven back from the V8 Centre clutching the MOT certificate.

Abso****kinglutelymarvellous.....!!!!!

Now I just need to order some new shocks and springs and get it taxed ready for April.

Well done that man I get my chassis back from the shot blasters tomorrow so hoping that my memory and the bags of bolts and bits hold out for a couple of weeks or so!

Hi Derek, Should have brought the same hammer with me in March last year as used in December!! Decided to jack the body to repaint and get a closer look and found a few less than good areas. As I'm in for the long term, I decided on a full rebuild. Planning to return early April though.

I still think they will be harrowing the fields with your chassis when we go to collect it.

After an anxious week having unceremoniously "dumped" the chassis in some obscure farmers scrap yard, recovered it this morning all cleaned up - many thanks to Dale and trailer. Quite relieved to have escaped with only a cash payment as can still hear the "Deliverance" banjo playing even now

So have gone from this

Looks like someone has been knicking your car bit by bit.

I would keep an eye on that chassis, it looks too good to lose.
