Brand new engine

As an aside can anyone tell me where I can get a new plastic clip thingy that holds the bonnet stay in place mine has snapped off probably due to the freezing weather

I think you can get the bonnet stay clip in an electrical store, the sort of clip used for cables etc, and it is sticky backed.

Several serious offers already to fend off but with mine now on 115,000 I have to have a look!
Still shifts and sounds OK, but poor Darling has got to be tired.

seen your latest post, I would go with the majority and have a butchers, just to be sure all is as it should be. Then drop it in and ease it through the revs. Not sure if you have to run in these old Cologne's but I would do a few motorway miles just to settle things in. Most of all enjoy that new motor
