silly question,

on the fse boost valve, do you screw in to reduce or increas fuel pressure?

i have had one on the car now for a while but never realy played with it, now i cant find the instructions!


i pressume it works the same as a normal tap?

Srew in (clockwise) to increase and out to decrease.
A quarter turn from factory setting it said.
Can't say fitting it made a big difference on mine but perhaps I need to test it more now the weathers getting warmer

no wonder it runs ruff!

thinking of getting an inline pressure gauge but not sure where it can go, do you know if the fuel system is a close circuit, ie put the gauge before the regulator?

Before the regulator would make sence to me.
Why would you do that?

I think a garage can measure your fuelrail pressure by the little valve on the top of the rail.Looks like a tyre pressure valve. They tried mine, but the bit of kit my garage had would not go on the valve as the plenium was in the way.

Think you do need to return it to 3 bar again if you really have lost the original setting, before you tinker again. Its a lot of hit and miss, and luck, if you get it right otherwise.

If you do have some you let us know what the Bar setting is!

had a bit more of a tinker this weekend, screwed it in until it started squealing like a pig, then unscrewed until the squealing stoped plus a little bit more.

it drives the same now as before i messed it up, although i did notice when running less pressure, my other problem - hesitation between 1-2k revs - dissapeared.

I really ought to start doing things with a bit more precision dont you think??

Think you should get it adjusted back to 3 bar before you look to ironing out any other problems Richard.You will never know where to start if you suspect the petrol pressure is off the scale.Then a quarter turn at a time ehh! A dab of paint on original position might be a good start?

Think I have the box in the garage still, will look it out and give you a phone number to check with them if that helps.
