Very nasty unsociable behaviour hence I've had to bin one..

Therefore - anyone got a useable head for a 2.9; cyl. bank 4,5,6 (nearside) lying around they don't want? I keep checking ebay but no good and thought I'd try here before I start the long and tedious scrappie route...
Ta, Simon

Anything'll do for now even minus valves etc...

Will do soon as my lump will be coming out shortly for exchange.
All is presently functioning fine with the current one.
Depends when you need it?

It's not major urgent as I still have a lot of jobs to do but would like to be mobile before the summer really sets in. I noticed you got a new engine which looks the business, are you OK splitting yours down rather than selling the whole lump (don't get me wrong I'd be very pleased to relieve you of the heads and possibly MAF!)?

Hi Simon.

Well I had not really thought about the old block beyond it was going to look a sight in the garden!
I am happy to split it up as I have good spares of just about everything, three for most bolt on bits.Someone might want the bottom end for refurb or bigger bore project?

I was thinking I would sort the exchange in a month or so, so if you want to hang on until then?
I would like to get mine rolling roaded at some time this year otherwise I would probably not have thought about changing as the present engine seems fine and clean, and has given me no trouble.Regular oil changes at 6000 miles or 6 months intervals etc. Just don't want it to let go at 7000 rpm at Austec!
My only car so I am careful it's always available!!!

Let me know....and anyone else who is interested in part.

Cheers, Tim.
ps. You had better ask Dad judging from the profile pic!

A month sounds good! Dad is OK with it as long as I can prise his chequebook from his old arthritic fingers!!

Keep in touch then and you have first shout on what comes out.
Dad will be happy that I am not looking to recoup much.
Cheers,
Tim.
