Hi Everyone

I'm looking for a wooden gear knob matching the original wooden dashboard cover of my V8S. Unfortunately I found nothing feasible on ebay with either a M8 screw thread or at least a conversion kit to fit.

Do you have any idea / advice?

Thanks a lot and cheers from Seitzerland

Hi there,

Currently having mine done, together with a wooden handbrake handle - all to match a recent refit American Burr Walnut dash.
You will need to make contact with a - Nick Reeves, Classic Woodwork, The Cottage, Three Mayploles Farm, Tythe Barn Lane, Shirley, West Midlands. B90 1PE
Tel: 0121 733 68 98 . Mobile: 07976 877908

I have been recommended by a fellow 'S' driver, Resonable costs too. Expect to pay about £30, not bad considering it is hand crafted and NOT mass produced.

Good luck

Received the gear knob yesterday, absolutely first class job, hand crafted and based ion the original Ford Escort knob, just simply screws on. Well worth the final figure of £40.00 . Compared with others, it is simply in a league of its own. Superb!
Moral of the story. You pay for what you get!
