pipes on the Swirl tank, where do they go?

Had a look in the bible but couldn't find anything. Obviously 2 go to/from the rad, one to the overflow bottle, but where do the other 2 go? Also whats a dangerously low level in the swirl tank, inches from the top? Many thanks guys, Mark.

How many connections do you have? I don't think they're all exactly the same but what's common is a 35mm hose in at the top (from the stat housing), 35mm out at the bottom (to the top of the rad), an 8mm out at the top (to the bottom of the header tank) and an overflow from the top of the header tank.
