Number Plate Sizes ?

I am just ordering some new plates for my S3 , I know that the back plate is smaller than standard so I have that size but I did not check the front , As I havn't got my car here could one of you excellent chaps just check for me .

Mine was the same size, it was only the back I had to alter slightly.

Yep, standard fits on the front, back needs about 5mm off (if I remember correctly)

I haad to cut a fair bit more than that off

Maybe you're right, maybe 10mm - I honestly can't remember

For the record the front plate is standard the rear 510mm X 105mm.

If any body is ordering new plates ,Fancy Plates make them in any size if smaller than the standard which is 520mm X 112mm

AH! See? 7mm to be cut off (ok Colin I was 2mm out - hand file engineering tolerance...)

2mm = hand file tolerance= rough workmanship in my book

I probably cut off more than was necessary as it didnt look to easy to get them off
