Hello all,

Have just been to get a new Throttle Pot from the Ford parts centre at Alperton. They haven't got one and neither have any of their other garages or service centres in the London area. And (apparently) "the system" says that it is now a discontinued part. ie: The only chance of a replacement is to go through oweners clubs or down to the motor factors (and would you want a 2nd hand throttle pot ?)

Not the best news.

May have to look at going down the Cerbera Throttle Pot route that someone mentioned elsewhere on this forum.

I think I have about five in the garage...
Trouble is, only the Cerbi one I have on the car actually now seems to work.
Despite all the others working fine on the donor V6 cologne, none seem much good on mine! Either won't start or revs at 2000+
Gold connectors, tin plated... no matter what.

theres odd!

Well - the good news is that a search here provided some links to other websites that sell alternates (expensive but still cheaper than the Ford part). Cant find the Cerbie mod though - which is a bit annoying since I'm told the Cerbie ones are much more long lasting.

The Cerbie TP sort of works but it makes the car feel flat, the fizz just aint there which you get with the Ford TP

I have a couple in the garage, both work fine (one is new).

Shout if you need one.

Best send e-mail through my profile since I don't always get a chance to re-visit posts.
