One for the ladies who didn't go to SCH

I was at SCH last weekend and surprised at how many guys told me their wives refused to go with them because they thought it would be boring 
so I thought I’d let all you girls who weren’t there, in on a secret…..SCH was actually fun ! Yea I know that sounds like a contradiction in terms…SCH is all about cars, more exactly men talking about cars and how could THAT ever be fun, but let me explain.
The hotel was excellent and really luxurious.
The food was fantastic
no cooking for a whole weekend yippee! (I put on 3 lbs eeeek).
The competitions were entertaining
(just watching the desperate lengths some of the guys went to maximise noise output put a smile on my face, backing up to solid objects to get "sound reverberation" or something or other...sticking things up their pipes etc).
The people were so nice I felt right at home and have made lots of new friends.
Best of all I wasn’t bored to death with endless technical jargon
(well not much,…there was the occasional guy who went on a bit too much about the length of his exhaust and boasted about the size of his baffles, you know who you are guys).
Mostly everyone was happy to chat about their cars but not to the point of being boring (sorry couln't find a picture of a car).
Thank you to the organisers for getting it so right, gazman you're the best, profstoff you’re a star.
So girls next year if he says he’s off to SCH why don’t you pack a suitcase and join him I can definitely recommend it.
Lets hear from some of the other ladies who were there, what was your experience of the weekend ?
....oh no, I’ve just thought, maybe some men want a weekend away from their other halves and I’ve just blown it for them.

What a great post, the S Club meet should be for everybody, couples and singles.It should have all elements as part of the two days to keep everybody entertained.
This year, once I agreed to organise it and asked for 5 helpers the response was underwelming
and it was only thanks to Prostoff and Dale that there was any structure to the days at all.
I always start the thread for SCH in December and would urge you guys and girls to think about what you could do to help out next year, no matter how little. Here is what we need IMHO.
1) Trade stand organiser
2) Car park organiser & helpers
3) Hoon organiser & helpers
4) Raffle organiser
5) Competition organiser
6) Social organiser
I would like to see people signed up by January and have a meet in February to finanise venue and itinery.
I propose Prostoff as next years chairman and he can count on my support in one of the above elements.

Hi all
I just wanted to add my comments to Grettas.
Chris (profstoff) bought his S3 over a year ago and since then we have attended several TVR events. I am not the type of person to walk in my husbands shoes nor can I say "I am a petrol head". At the begining I did wounder what type of people we would meet and the thought of a hoon scared the pants off of me, however the people have several things in common:
1, A love for life
2, They don't mind getting up early
3, They don't mind trying new things
4, The have a fondness for food (Indian, chinese, picknics and BBQ)
5, The odd, occasional glass of red wine or beer
6, They don't seem to mind getting wet
7, They chill out, relax, take you for who you are and talk about anything and everything
8, They like a laugh and joke
9, They all own a TVR's of one kind or another
