S3C FOR SALE (I think??)
Discussion
I think im selling my Trev!?!
Im still not to sure so im gauging any interest.
Its A mica navy blue 1992 Jreg 2.9V6 S3C 78K FSH, mot march 07, usual spec, peninsula TVR exhaust system, De-cat pipes. Dont really know wot else say. Im looking for £5K really. Its in good working order. Just had new master and slave clutch cylinders changed and full engine service replacing the ignition system as it was miss firing on a cyliner. All ok now. Kept garaged since ive owned it.
The only real concern is the dreaded chassis! Ive had it inspected and its structurely sound, no holes etc. But lots of the powder coating has come off an there is surface rusting. What I would want to do (if I had the time and space) is in the next couple of years is give it a body lift and refurb the chassis. Its not really necessary yet but its one of those issues with these cars that u dont want to leave to late. Apart from that issue its looks good for its age a couple of minor grazes here and there but nothing scary. I think the price is fair, I paid £7995 about 18 months ago.
Reason for sale is because ive been using it as a daily driver and it can be stressful. Its a car id want to own as a weekend car mostly but I havent got the space at the moment for a weekend car so ive got to buy something sensible.
I will buy one again maybe in two years time when I will have enough space for one but until then I think im going to sell it if anyone is interested...if not I will keep it. Its not the en of the world by any means, I love the car!

Sounds too cheap to me - I'd try for 7K (elsewhere now
) and see who bites.
I certainly wouldn't want less than 7K for mine. It's worth what someone is prepared to pay - they are getting rarer by the day, and starting to obtain classic status.
S1-S2 - 5-6K
Well sorted S3 - 6-7k
Concorse S3 - 8k
V8S - 9k
IMHO. Totally made up figures. Etc Etc. Seeing as most sales of S's end up here, surely we control the market??
. Don't sell too cheap!

. Don't sell too cheap!I was a bit worried about lowering the market value but I just want to be fair to who ever buys it that eventually (maybe a couple of yrs) the chassis may seeing to and im aware its costly/time consuming so im trying to reflect that in the price. I think I have actually put it too low but its a bit late to raise the price now
