We have several wedges coming, there will be advice on hand as well about your car
All welcome
All welcome
I saw all the activity on the wedge forum, but there was zilch on here, that's what prompted me to ask if any other S owners were going.
I still fancy it though, I went to Santa Pod as the only S3 so I'm used to being lonely.
Details for the wedge/S day day on Sat. Please note we have MOVED
from our last location and are now on the old Chobham/Longross MOD facility.
Map on the website. Do not use Satnav to find us, you will get lost!
This however has some drawbacks, we are only allowed 4 cars outside the unit
at any one time, so all the others will have to go in the big carpark just
outside the security barrier, its only 50 meters from the unit and you can
walk in to the unit.
Everything is covered by CCTV which is monitored by the security staff 24
hours a day, please please please don't wander off around the estate! It is
still a secure site with sensitive MOD stuff going on in the testtrack, they
take the security very seriously! Also, no dougnuts in the car park please
unless of the jam variety.
We have 8 cars, So if people could be at the unit at 11am, we will have them all done by 1 oclock. We also have plenty of space left, so if anyone has any friends they wish to drag along, please feel free!..
Regards,
Charlie

Hi trackcar
As far as I know, the Rover engine is untouched.
What are the rolling road results of a 4.5l Cerb?
How much does an AJP V8 4.5l incl. everything what is needed
to run it (e.g. injection system, cooling sys. exhaust sys etc.)
normaly cost incl. VAT? Are there new engines still available?
Thanks for your answer.

Std 4.5AJP would run probs 360bhp for an average one. You could pick the engine up for about 2-3k then everything on top, you'd be looking at about 5-6k This is just me rough picking. You would need a new gearbox to fit the AJP and the power the std ones in the V8S wouldn't fit or run the power for very long.
* this is just rough pickings *

Andremi3,
Does the V8S really suffer from 58bhp transmission losses? I find that absolutely astounding to be honest.... Having had a multitude of RWD cars in the past, you can usually count on 12-15% losses through the gearbox and diff.....?

It sounds high to me as well, i would expect around 40bhp on such a car.. however, 12-15% is too low, unless its an American made dyno

Would love to see that car!
