Supercharger on 24v Cosworth

Anyone know who or where, is the place to start, with regards sourcing a supercharger for a Cosworth 24v S1?. Does Boosted (from this forum) do them or do I go to TopBoss Racing up North? Anyone got any practical advice or recommendations at all? It`s my mates` car and he doesn`t want to use a turbo for some reason!

Tell your mate to ask around very carefully before he deals out his cash.

I've done it in conjunction with Maddoldbugger, my plenum/throttles & his s/c. You'll find him here.

He used the Mazda item. If he logs in and asks about TB he'll get a true appraisal.

He could mount a turbo up front or even two of them with my cast manifolds so at least he has some choices to consider. Trackcar may be able to offer advice as well.

Is there enough room for a charger under there. surely with two small turbo's there will be little lag, can't see you wanting more then 260bhp, for now.

With stock compression and a single turbo he'll pass 300 bhp at 5-7 psi

I have had some very nice and effective exhaust headers made, which is why I don`t want to go the turbo route. I do not need a huge hike in power, but do want to be around 260-280hp, which I think will be enough for the car. It goes well enough now with 220hp and 240lbft torque (rolling road), but a little more and it`ll be perfect (until it blows the gearbox).

Boosted, what do you charge for your plenumb and throttle bodies?

We run a Boost Performance engine and twin turbo set-up in our Tasmin race car .. it does exactly what Mike said it would and has been a great powerplant .. we don't envisage it even needing a rebuild at the end of the season, it's as strong as an Ox .. what this all means is if Mike says something I'd be inclined to go with it We also run Mike's plenum and his cast exhaust headers He's certainly someone you should be talking to for 24V upgrades

The plenum is £450 and it can be configured to run with the stock 24v throttle or a twin throttle. I don't bother with throttle bodies, I'm more turbo focused There is a 24v page on my web site and soon I'll paste up the 4wd girdled sump
