Rear End Height
Discussion
Yesterday at VW a mate pointed out my rear end and commented upon it's height!
He was following me on the M25 most of the way, and thought that the rear didn't squat as he'd noticed other S's he's seen do.
I'm running on 60 profile tyres, rather than 55s.
I remember something about TVR making suspension tweaks for the S2 or S3, to avoid grounding I presume, did this raise the rear ride height by any chance.
Is this something usual, or might something be awry with the suspension/dampers?
PS. Peter (GreenV8S) didn't get a chance to meet you, but had a good look at your car, and heard it when you left. What can I say, it's bloody fantastic!

Ive been looking at the same issue for some time as i have always thought my S2 sits quite high at the rear. It seems to be a standard feature of S styling but that does not mean you have to accept it. I have fitted some RT Racing springs and shocks which are adjustable for height and stiffness. This has lowered the ride height to a more aesthetically pleasing level and the stiffer springs/shocks prevent any grounding.

Interesting, I find having the rear suspension higher reduces the tendancy to tramp, and it reduces aerodynamic lift too. But not everyone has problems with these anyway.
We don't all travel at the same speeds as you though Pete
Seriously though ive yet to drive mine in anger, Bruntingthorpe will be its first outing. Is it really a big problem?
The rear of yours appears to be set at about the right height aesthetically, is that just by happy coincidence??
