Dodgy Fuel Sender?

My fuel gauge has always waved about, particualrly when cornering, but it also never reads below about half full even when I ran out fo fuel recently. I think I need to take out the sender and bend a bit to get a more acurate reading, but I dont expect any improvment is possible on the fluctuations (Ohh Nurse).

Any advice on what I need to do? / Occured to you before? / Any special technique to pulling the things to bits?

hey let me know how you get on because my gauge is still having the same symptoms as you and I have not found the time/courage to do it yet
