Hi folks,

My rubber band of an S3C needs a nearside manifold....if anyone knows of one I would be grateful for a heads up...

I can affect a temporary repair (to a weld that was done by a chimpanzee) but I won't be happy to sell it unless I either know where one is for the next owner, or have one handy.

A potential buyer is looking at it on Sunday so it would be nice if I could let him know where a new / second hand manifold is.

Ta.
Mike.

I saw a pair advertised for sale recently, can't remember where though.

I think it was the July "Sprint" magazine - £150 the pair IIRC.

(I need one as well, again the n/s and again a chimp weld, but decided to save up my pennies and do it over the winter, in case I end up in the broken stud / remove engine scenario)

I will let mike name and shame if he wants to, but i reckon he should have given it to HERTZ or AVIS and made a few quid!

Not in public, not my bag.

However, a decent chap has been in touch with me and Simon - who was good enough to talk through his many years of ownership. He's coming early Sunday morning for a looksee, Told him the good bad and ugly, he's spoken to Simon, there's no reason why he won't like it, especially for the price....I saw one go without MOT on ebay for more...If I had the space for 4 cars I would keep it, but it has to go so lets hope the next owner looks after it as it deserves, not rant the t1ts off it.

Still, we shall see. I don't know any more, maybe it's a bit like christine, and will stalk me.
Mind you, it's still got a bit of my knuckle in the suspension so I don't blame it.

just ordered new Stainless ones for mine on Fridy, bank now very empty. off side one is shot at(2 inch missing where down pipe goes in) but nearside looks reasonable, well as good as a 16 year old exhaust pipe can. All I have to do is get the bugger off whilst leaving all studs intact. Tims quoted 3weeks for the new ones so that gives me time I hope.
