Can anyone suggest where I can find a heater fan switch for an S4c (probably the same as a V8s) Following is printed on it -

I'm in NZ so it's a bit difficult from here.
Hope someone can help.

Hi Dan,

If you take a look here www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=27277&f=11&h=0&hw=Fan+Switch I think you will find all the info you need. I found that it was possible on mine to strip, clean and re-assemble the switch and it has been fine since.

Btw what do you want the heater for! I thought it was still pretty warm at this time of year!

Cheers

Where abouts in NZ are you ? I've been down here for the past 3 weeks and haven't seen a single TVR.

I'm in Auckland. I only bought the car recently and don't know any other TVR owners here. There aren't many around are there! Where are you and how long are you over here for ?

Hi Graham
Thanks for your help on this. I will take it out and try to resurrect it.
I have to use the heater to keep the engine temp down ! It's like driving in a sauna.

Good idea I did exactly what graham said and did mine recently and manged to get it working again .

Tips for when you lift the centre tunnel and remove the lower dash trim to get the switch out.
1. The Lower panel 4 bolts are held on by 8mm nyloc nuts, so a 8mm box spanner will save you ages.
2. The bible says do not disconnect the vent pipes, I found this the easiest way to lift the panel a bit higher, perhaps the comments were aimed at the combined tunnel/dash of the S1 and S2's. I didn't have a problem putting them back on.
3. I found it easier to access when the stereo was removed and the 'cradle' for it was pulled out as well.
4. You will knock other wires, just make sure you know where they go.
5. Disconnecting the battery is probably a sensible thing to do, as things like the window switches are still live and can sting .
I hop[e this helps, good luck and the disclaimer, all IMHO

Hi Dan,

I've been in Wellington, on business although I did get tickets for the sevens.

I'm on my way home now - currently sitting in the lounge at LAX on the 2 hour stop over. NZ is a lovely country though, great roads.
