Is it okay or wise to T-cut a small portion of paintwork on a fibre-glass body? I seem to have suffered a small (10cm square area) where the severe winds from a few weeks caused a damn bush/tree to lightly scratch/haze an area on the front bonnet. Its not glaring but i notice it and thats what counts!
If not T-cut, then are there any other solutions to get rid of it? Would vigorous poishing get rid of it?The colour is metallic red-wine.
cheers,
Mark.

Should be OK to T-Cut the panel but make sure that you apply some solid wax on the area afterwards as T-Cut softens the paint surface and it oxidizes very quickly afterwards.
I suggest that you test the stability of your paint surface out on an inconspicuous part of the car first.

Dont use T-cut..... is far too harsh a product, instead use meguiars "scratch X". Much safer on a clear coat. For local stockist go to www.meguiars.co.uk. best of luck, mark
Edited to say...if youve got any autoglylm super resin kicking about try that first, its slightly abrasive and gets swirls out ok. Dont use their paint cleaner though again too abrasive.

I agree T-Cut is a bit too strong, Use Halfords Colour restorer instead, creamy & non-abrasive. Also excellent for use to get tar spots & stubborn bugs off just about anywhere.

I was told that Faraclay G3 was much better than T-cut but can't speak from personal experience. The guy i spoke to had an immaculate S2 and he swore by it.

We find a good product to use is 3M Finesse-it. Part No 09639. This is soft and will not harm the paint work. You will need to wax afterwards
If you want to use T cut get a liquid wax and mix it 50/50 with the T cut on your cloth before polishing then wax after.
Good luck.
