Front Damper Lengths

Does anyone know range of travel for the front dampers ie min/max distance between bolt holes??????

from memory the max on my S1 is 36cm

14" centres front and back on full travel.

I was asking as I saw these advertised "a pair of Koni, adjustable strength and height, coil over shock absorbers. They have an open length of of 18" approx and a closed length of 12" approx)but it would appear they are no use??? and they want £95 per pair without springs.
Any thoughts????
