TVR Closing in UK?????

Appears to me that they weren't building many cars of late anyway.

Really sad news. But did they take their eye off the ball years ago when they stopped producing the Griff,Chim and the S ?
Those cars seemed to me much truer brutish TVR 'sports' cars that people craved as kids and bought when they could afford them. Pretty reliable proven cars.
You can't double the price and make a cheap 'supercar' that just isn't.

I am sure there are lots of Mazda MX5 owners who like the looks of their 'British sports car' but wish it had the power and the sound to match.
They would like to have parts available too I guess.

I have to agree to the above, although I would add the Cerb to the list. You will always find me at the car club events spending more time looking at the older cars than the most recent.

I'm sure that next Wednesdays Blackpool region TVRCC meet will be a bit somber with 2 members being current TVR staff (30 and 18 years employment there I think it is)

True problem is that folk wont buy 40k TVR`s if there was a threat of future closure, no parts or servicing etc. I think the talk of possible move abroad was the final nail in the coffin.
