Renovo and Thompsons?

Guys.
Think I asked this before but lost on another thread.
If you put Thompsons waterseal on a newly Renovoed roof, what happens next summer when you want to spruce it up again?
Do you have to scrub the thompsons off with detergent in order to get the renovo into the material again?

Depends on how much you leave the car out in the elements I guess - might wash off of its own accord. Personally I always give it a once over with some warm water, a tiny drop of washing up liquid and a soft shoe brush before re-applying the stain. Make sure its very well rinsed first though to get the detergent out of it before painting.
