i have an early s1 2.8 and need some advise.i need to find some replacement rear light bulb holders.also some advise on if there is a product that will clean a diss coloured soft top.Thanks

I replaced mine in the summer to try and sort out an electrical gremlin. I've got the part numbers at home but I'm away on business at the moment. I can post them up tomorrow though so check back then.

As for the roof, this is how I did mine...

First, clean it off with a soft shoebrush and some warm water with the tiniest drop of washing up liquid. Rinse thoroughly with cold water to get the suds out
Next, paint the whole thing with a coat of Renovo hood colour. Leave to dry.(If required, do another coat)
Once dry, paint the whole lot thorughly with Fabsil waterproofer which you can usually get in big cans from places like Millets

I did this at the start of the summer after a real washout at S Club Heaven this year and it has worked a treat. Even survived the deluge at London Thunder....

Got the invoice here now.

The bulb carriers came from Quickco (www.quickco.co.uk) and have the following numbers:

306079
F6067419
Desc - Carrier Assy
£8.80 each

I think one of the numbers is the original Ford number and the other is the Quickco number.
