Yes and yes. It would be sensible to follow the conventional tuning route first though i.e. increase the capacity and then improve the breathing before going to the trouble and expense of forced induction. Consider what this will do to the rest of the car (I've spent more on the suspension, brakes and transmission than on the engine). Also check out the insurance situation.

I think TVR Power will be offering the pre serp version of their kit very soon and when I see the cost of other work people have had done on engines, I wonder if the quite modest gains for lots of money were good value in comparison to the SC.
I drove the Power car around on main and side roads and was very impressed with the smooth delivery of power and it was about 275bhp at the wheels.

Don't be surprised if you run into durability problems with the diff and half shafts if you use the full power of the 4.6 regularly, but apart from that you seem to have done a lot of the goundwork already. Running supercharged on pull-through carbs can work very well in some situations because most of the positive displacement blower types like running wet, the centrefugal ones don't much care but do work slightly more efficiently if you run them wet. The big, huge, massive, really potentially rather catastrophic problem is that with the entire intake full of air/fuel mixture, when you get a backfire the whole thing can literally explode. People design in blow-off flaps to try to save the manifold from bursting, but it's really quite a dodgy proposition. I've had some pretty spectacular bangs from mine, and that's only running port injection. So, if you supercharge it you will probably want to consider going back to EFI, alternatively arrange your carb in a blow-through configuration.

You'll need a mechanical holley. A 600 double pumper would fit the bill nicely. I've put boost through them before.
