210 bhp S3C ???

I came across an S3C advertised on a Swiss website and the ad reads as follows :

TVR S3C Cabrio 2.9 V6 210 PS cabriolet
Date d´immatriculation: 8/1990 Cylindrée en ccm: 2933 cm³ Puissance en CV: 210

210 bhp ????

Have you heard of any S3C upgrade by the Swiss importer or is it just the claimed result of a chip fittment ?

Think you can get them up to that but its serious chipping and I m not so sure that the frame and braking system would inspire confience. If you want more power look at the V8S which is kitted out for the job.

Tower View have taken an S3 to about 200 bhp by a combination of stage two head and high lift cam, not that I've just been enquiring about it or anything..

Normally they get a little less, 185-190 is the expected output with this, but if you've a decent exhaust and air filter, you might squeeze a few more bhp out.

Looked at an S2 with a claimed 200 bhp before I bought the S3. Nice looking car but it didn't feel like it was the right one for me..

IIRC the rating of 210 PS is approx 206 Bhp, and given that the standard S3c was rated at around 170 Bhp, that is a hell of an power hike for a just a chip change! How was the figure arrived at? What really counts is Bhp at the wheels.
