To sell or not to sell....

Hello Chaps
I'm under some unspoken pressure from a certain member of the family to sell my S and move on to something new ie a greenhouse or an ornamental pond or some other pipe and slipper type hobby...and to be honest I have considered this option...No more unknowable expenditures...no more angst over odd engine noises...room in the garage to put junk...reduced risk of departing this life prematurely...etc
Today however, is a sunny day around these parts... the roads are dry-ish and I have just been for a butt clenching.. spirited drive in the country..the old girl has spent the last few weeks tucked up gathering cobwebs but today we blew them all away...she just pulled and pulled no flat spot just responsive accelleration...the sound coming back at me from the hedgerows..wow..that feeling of uncertainty as we round into slightly greasy bends...that involuntary laugh borne of fear and glee or whatever...
Do gardeners have that much fun...?? Does watching Koy carp have the same effect..??
I think not...roll on spring time....

Mothball it for a couple of years so no costs and when the fish have been eaten by the herons,Global warming has dried up the pond water and the Tornados have whisked away the greenhouse, you can get it out of the garage ,tax and insure it and start enjoying all over again.

On balance I think I'll keep the wife..she was here first...When I first floated the idea of a TVR she seemed pretty keen, unfortunately on her first go, reversing off the drive, the seat slid back and her feet couldn't reach the peddles..she bounced off the far kirb..thankfully nothing was passing. This has jaded her attitude towards the S which I know, is great, cos' only I get to drive it but alas! she doesn't like the Tiv anymore...which means it's viewed as a financial liability..Fortunately, I still sometimes where the trousers..the Tiv stays..Been out in it today..it was cold but good fun... I went through this when I had my M Series and actually went through with the sale - trust me the feeling of a mere £5 grand or so in your hand and comparing it to the grinning expression of the man driving your beloved prized possesion away from you just does not add up !!!!!
Subsequently cancelled all the plans for the money and bought the S a matter of a few weeks later instead, but could not help feeling for the man with the £5 grand or so in his hand as I grinned and drove away his beloved prize possesion.

I cant understand my missus - loved the scooby and the Type R, loves the 4x4, crashed the MR2 thinks the mini is OK and hates the Tiv ... you work it out. I cant

Yes, I remember the look on the blokes face when I bought my S off him...a mixture of contempt and grief..and I had to virtually pull out the deal to get him to relinquish the bible..he wanted to keep it in case he bought another S..
I probably paid too much for it judging by the current prices..
But anyways who cares, it's mine now..
I'm hoping to buy another one on that 2nd Life website..after I've bought a penis of course..

I know the feeling, I almost cried when I saw my S pulling out of the driveway, and I could still hear it down the road. Even though I had cash in had and Griff behind me.
Unless you buy another one you just won't get the sam efeeling from the money. You only live once.
Unless you're Bond and then you can have 2 TVRs!
