Speaking of manifolds S1?

Trying to find out if a better design of manifold exists for the S1 with the 2.8V6

The head has a strange design where two exhaust ports on each bank share an elogated port.

Does anybody make a performance version for this?

That's the problem with the 2.8 heads (cured on the later 2.9 heads with seperate ports).
Not sure you can do much about it apart from get a 'better' flowing exhaust from one of the many after-market suppliers. If you do a search for '2.8 exhaust' you may find some solutions?

got the sports exhaust, sounds great too, better than my mates 5 litre Chim.

I may be stuck with the cast iron headers, maybe I can flow them a bit better.

Gonna get engine rebuilt soon with wilder cam and new oil pump etc so may be better.

You can get stainless manifolds and down pipes from Actmuch better flow than the cast ones

Hi Jim When I rebuilt my S1 I bought some stainless manifolds from David Gerald. They fitted a treat and looked realy nice too.
