I know it's probably painful but could you take us through your altercation...was it too much power on a wet surface...?
I did the same thing soon after getting my S... I drive with a bit more care these days...Paul

I forgot which car I was in.

Breaking (in a straight line, not that fast), changed gear (bad timing) and lost the back on wet grubby road held the slide till I found the verge and ... crunch.

Sorry to hear this. But glad that you are okay and I hope you can get the car fixed.

I killed my last car in the wet... I wasn't on an agreed value policy and spent many painful weeks arguing with the insurers. I ended up caving in and have regretted it ever since. Not a nice feeling - I hope you get back in the S again without too much heartache

Sorry Mate.. your experience has revived memories of my own little near death experience..I slid into the kerb of a central reservation which knocked my back wheel off. Felt very silly as the following traffic passed me by, staring at me perched on my nearside rear wheel. The insurance company picked up the bill of about £950...gotta' new wheel and trailing arm amongst other stuff out of the deal. All I need to do is repeat the altercation for the offside and I'll have almost all new rear running gear...

Bugger, but at least you are OK. Serves as a little warning really, especially to me, a week into S ownership and pushing that bit more each time I drive her, time to leave it alone I think and be a bit sensible about it given teh time of year!
