Air Filter Maintenance

I have a Pipercross foam filter on the S2 presumably std, do these need to be cleaned and oiled like the old K&N ones or just cleaned???

cleaned and oiled I think - Halfords sell a wee Piper maintenance kit with both bottles.

Thanks, actually going near Halfords this morning so I'll call in and see if they have one. It really is filthy, didnt really appreciate how bad untill I took the bonnet off, invariably Ive strayed from "just taking the bonnet off to fix the hinges" to and while its of I may as well do etc etc.

Called in Halfords, they do a kit about £12-£15 he reckoned but theyre out of stock at present,should get one in a couple of weeks.
They do a K&N one as well £12 but werent sure if it was compatible, no rush I'll wait and get the right one.
