I have recently found a hole in the passenger front outrigger near the body mount
bs

and i have noticed on a lot of threads that
if you intend to take the body off you might as well get it blasted and coated,

anyone know how much it will cost to get sandblasted ?
and is it worth powder coating ?

i will have to tackle body off myself as i can't afford to get someone to do it for me.
and comments are appreciated

Don't need to go that far (depending on position). It might be possible to jack part of the body up and repair the offending hole. Got a qoute for mine (now someone elses ) of £500.

He's not in your area, but (I'd have thought) any independent would be able to give you a qoute. In my case the back of the body needs to be jacked up and part of the tubing replaced. I think replacement of the brackets at the back end of the outriggers (the bits visible in the rear arches) was also included in the qoute.

The problem comes if the outrigger is too far gone for patching. To completely remove and replace the offending part will need use of a jig to keep the chassis from ending up like a banana. According to the independent, this will require a trip to the factory and associated costs.
