Mmm, not what to fit...

Got a set of Infinity Kappas for the rear 6x9s (at least I hope they're 6x9s), not sure whether to keep the Infinity theme or get some MB Quarts for the rear parcel shelf, or perhaps go MB Quart all round.

Yep, just checked and they are 15.5cm units, Goodman GLX 241 40w things as well, definitely need replacing.

Got some Pioneer TS-A6956 6x9s in the back above the parcel shelf, supposedly quite good for their time/price, so will leave them for now and sort out the Goodmans, unless go for Kappa fronts, in which case might as well fit the 6x9s I already have...

Mine were also 13cm on my S3. Kenwood KFC-1360s are what I fitted.

Remember why I wasn't sure now.

I went out and bought some 13cm Infinity Kappa co-ax units for my S3 based on the sizes reported on PH but on taking off the old units found them to be 16cm.

While the 13cm ones fitted and looked OK, I'd prefer a larger speaker and cone if the hole is already there.

Looks like the opposite has happened this time around

I've got a set of 16cm speakers to replace the previous ones, but there is a protective cage around the magnet which means a larger cut-out is needed in the door...

Deciding now whether to return the speakers for a set of 13cm ones or get the hacksaw out

I have 160mm jbl's in the front of mine, did struggle on the diameter but made some crafty spacers which hold the cone forward about 7 or 8mm allowing them to just squeeze in with the angle of the metal return, think i used M4 nuts, & the mesh grill still fits over the speaker so you cant tell.

Didn't fancy getting the jigsaw out just in-case......

Gonna have a play again at lunch, but I don't think they'll fit without getting out the hacksaw. Don't mind that, but the vinyl is wrapped around the cut-out edges and I don't fancy playing with that...

Ah what the hell, I've been playing with the Jigsaw and now have a bigger hole in the passenger side door and an amazing sounding MB Quart speaker where the crappy Goodmans thing used to be

Also oiled up the door mechanism while there so the lock and handle work far better now too, off now to do the driver's side door.
