How to get the fu**ing rear part of roof off ?

Hi folks,

had my S1 off the road for 3 years now and decided to drive it again this summer. wanted to have my roof renewed and encountered the first real problem. how to get the rear part off when the nuts and bolts and so on are rusty ? i´m sure some of you did that job allready and can give me some good advice.

many thanks for your great support. but still have one question: is there any way to get access to the cross head coach bolts without cutting the roof ? since i live in good old "non tvr-country" sometimes also called germany i need the roof-section to get a new one beeing reproduced by my saddler. if i cut the window out, will i get access to the cross head coach bolts ?

can you not just drill out the bolts from the boot ?

I had mine off (1990 S2) and it was a pain but i did manage it from the boot alone in about 3 hours

I`ve just replaced my rear window, the cross head bolts are under the material and you cant get to them, cutting the window out will not help.

Only cut around the bolts heads as the old hood will be needed for a pattern when making the new hood.
