Number Plate Light

Anybody done anything different with the number plate light. One of the spring holders has broken and i am keen to fit a better option if there is one.

Was pondering this myself yesterday as my bulb went for a wander prior to MOT.

Perhaps a perspex unit from a celing light or something that both holds and protects the bulb might do the job, but it's a case of finding one the right size.

I have binned mine off as it fell to bits when removing.

I am going to stick an LED thing in there for the mot instead, with a piece of frosted perspex fixed over the hole somehow.

sounds a bit heath robinson i know, but trying to put the original bulb back in would mean spending money!!
