Interior mirror

I'm fed up with the interior mirror falling off. I have tried the double sided pads from Halfords but they are no good. I followed the instructions and heated up the windscreen before I stuck the pad on.
Now thinking about Arldite!!! Before I do this does anyone have any suggestions??

I fixed my mirror back on last June, using a loctite kit - you get a glue and a reactive mesh - cut the mesh to size, clean the glass and mirror stem, add the glue, stick the mesh on and make sure the glue soaks through, then stick it to the glass - it's still as solid as a wossname.

Did you use them the right way round? The proper pads have a different adhesive on the glass side.

Used the same kit and has worked a treat, even stayed stuck after I managed to head-butt the mirror! The double-sided sticky pads are intended for Ford mirrors. (I could tell you which side sticks to the glass but then I do have a trade to protect) 
If you have a mirror that is attached to the screen via a boss, or bracket, then there is a specific adhesive that is required to stick back to the glass. In my experience, I have changed many windscreens that have broken as a direct result of incorrect adhesive (usually the stuff you get from motorist stores).
For what it's worth, you're better off driving to your nearest windscreen fitting centre (or flagging one of them down). Most will do for a drink, but in any case, on the invoice, it'll only be about seven-quid.
