Noisy Heater Fan

Anyone know if its possible to lubricate the heater fan, or even get at it
to repair ?

Mine is squealing like a demented budgie on the 1st setting its okay on
full power but thats to much warm air and without it the windscreen mists
over.

Sounds like the bearings have had it - my guess is if you lubricated it the noise will go away for a bit then come back.
If you have to go to the trouble of getting it to bits then probably worth replacing the motor I reckon, thats if you can get one and someone knows what it is !

Hi - Is the noise the bearing or the fan rubbing on the case ?

I just replaced the heater motor on my S3 No Fun ! Its a full dash out job.
As far as I could see the motor packed up as the windscreen washer was leaking either from outside or from a crack in the squirter itself.

I chased around all over the place to try to track the motor without success so I went to the scrappy and found one looking similar from a Nissan somthing and 'revised the engineering design' along with assorted bits from a box of things that might come in useful one day.
Theres not a lot of clearance for the assembled unit to go in so all in all its a challenge.
Fix the original if at all possible.
