Tower View claim to be able to veneer anything, which sounds like a bit of an ambitious claim to me, but they can certainly do dashboards.

Forum rules only allow positive feedback,but i paid £101 for switch dash to be reveneered.It arrived with air bubbles in,and 13 months later totall peeled off

Talk to David Gerald, they sold me my V8S 1992, 23,000M and as part of the deal the dash veneers where replaced. good job.

A good furniture restorer should be able to do the job quite easily. You should be able to find a couple of numbers from the yellow pages.

I've just had my switch panel done for £50 (cash job) by a local bloke who was sympathetic to the fact that the veneer was on a metal base - and unstable as he termed it. Would add that I supplied the veneer but he varnished and polished it. I'm well pleased with the result. Have to say I baulked at £100+ quoted by London Carriage Craft

I guess if you can take the car or panel to a couple of these furniture restorers they should be able to appraise the job & give you a fair quote.

TVRCARPARTS.com (Dulford Automotive Ltd.) gave us a quote last year for main dash etc. (about £350 ish I think. Please don't quote me) but for the work done it seemed v. reasonable. They showed me an 'S' they said they had done and it looked 'top dollar'.

Maybe worth investigating - apparently the grotty part of the job is removing the dash in the first place - if you did that yourself price should be even better.

Notice that your in Lancashire.

These had a stand at Classic Car event @ Tatton Park last year, so may be there again on 2/3 June - www.cooperwoodtrim.co.uk/ based in Crewe. He did say he has done work for one of the TVR independants (might have been David Gerald - cannot remember).
