Time for S1 Rebuild .

Got to love the 'S' chassis lol, I'm not far from refitting the body back on mine.

Our S1 has got some corrosion creaping in - doesnt look too bad, but i'm a little nervous that it'll soon spread - how majorly difficult is it to get the body off? (is it a job best left for an experienced person?)

It's not the corrosion you can see that's the problem but what you can't, esp the tops of the outriggers.

we had new outriggers fitted about 18 months ago, coutesy of a company in Wembley. (cant remember the name) - so there not my worry at the moment.

OK if you have had the outriggers done they must have at least partially lifted the body to do it and would probably had a look in other areas so perhaps yours will be fine, may be worth getting all the loose and flaking stuff off and treating it at some time

TVRBloke.It's not a major job to strip down,but you do need plenty of space.It's best to dismantle because as rockey say's it's not what you can see but what you can't I found loads as you can see from some of my photos.
