at last - something decent to put in the roof bags

At last I've got round to recovering the targa tops and i'm pretty pleased with the result too. Also it means I've got a reason to use the roof bags I made last year ( now I've just got to suss out how to sort out the boot release mechanism to get the darn thing out (see other thread)

Very impressive looking. Where did you get the covering from? My targa pannels need recovering - once I finish carpeting the interior.

cheers, I got the mohair from woolies, evostick timebond from do-it-all. All in it cost about £130. I found that white spirit was the best way to clean off the old glue (along with a lot of elbow grease ) which works out much cheaper than the specialist glue solvents.

I have an old black roof and panels in my garage if any one needs a full set also dash seats and door cards all in black .

Hi,
my rear window needs replacing and the hood is old and most likely it would get torn if taken off --> so yes, I would be interested in a new/used black hood!!! I wrote you an email Dave, anyone else has/knows of a spare hood?

Will probably have one going spare in the next few weeks - depends on whether it comes off in one piece or not. I'll keep you posted....

Your covers look far nicer than mine Mine are much more simple and just have some elastic to hold them on, no badge either.

JT - Did you use the original rubber trims or did you order new from Woolies?

I got the thinner rubber seals (where the panels overlap) from david gerald, woolies do a sponge/rubber extrusion (the middle of the three they sell) which is approx the same size but to be honest I'm on the look out for better ones (anyone any ideas). I carefully removed the old ones and have reused them until something better comes up.

Thanks. I've mailed David Gerald for the centre rubber. Think I may go the same way as you did in carefully removing the rubber along the window edge of both panels and re-using.
