lol. I've just been browsing the members on here, and I had a hunch it was him. Couldnt read the reg off his pic though. :-)

Peter... seen you a couple of times. Mostly in the Merc 500E, but occasionally I've spotted you when I've been in my green Elise

Yes, it was me. That big merc of yours puts out an impressive amount of smoke when you put your foot down, but it certainly shifts!

Cheers,
Peter Humphries (and a green V8S)

lol... well... I'd just been trundling along on about 1/10th throttle and then asked it for all of its 340 ponies and 360 pounds of feet. Can expect a bit of smoke I guess !

fwiw, yours smokes a little aswell, although just an odd puff here and there

Hello again! ;-)

Sorry came past you a bit quickly to begin with... was chasing my neighbour in his 996T and only saw you at the last minute.

On the junction you pulled off on.. just joining going southbound was a nice shiny McMerc SLR.. you missed it by a few seconds.

Yes, I noticed the 996 disappearing into the distance. Don't think my license would last long if I tried to keep up with him!

Hehe.. was good to spot you last night. Made the 4 hour traffic jam a little less tedious.

Quite funny that the Elise and the Tiv had no issues at all but there were loads of other modern reliable metal overheating

Hope you got home OK. I was running on fumes (had half a tank when the queue started!) so I kept the speed down to stretch it to J14, I was expecting you to come blasting past.

lol... I had exactly the same issue. Pulled over for a bit to conserve fuel hence didn't come blasting past you.

Nightmarish journey though !

I know great viewing . Asolutely frightening really . A sub 100 around goodwood is awesome and to be honest Peter almost makes it look easy, when you compare it to the style of Steve Heath around the same circuit. Not saying ones better than the other, just different styles and IMHO obviously .
