Inner headlight ring

I thought these were mini parts,I've just openen the packet and they wont fit,as there are no screw holes to attach the light to the rong

Anybody know what they are off

That sounds very familiar and explains why I have a spare inner chrome ring for a Mini still in its bag, and also why I have some new bowls that I've removed the inner rings from.

The bowls I used are Wipac S5400 and I picked a pair up from ebay but have seen them on some web site somewhere.

Edit: Just to clarify, the inner rings come with the bowl.

If im right the headlight assemply is a wipac S5400 quad something

Col, are you talking about the inner bowl for the headlight? If so these are the original spec ones I found and fitted a few years ago. They were exactly the same as the ones I took out. https://secure.visav.co.uk/avshop/products.asp type in S5400 as the reference number in the search box on the page.

I will add my four penneth!!
My cibie units fit by means of 3 metal clips that screw to the rear of the chrome ring. This ring then clips by means of slots onto the 2 light unit angle adjusters that are screwed into the plastic bowl. There is also another screw that makes sure it cannot come loose. One of mine had rusted so I used the 2 part units that fit the Mini and many other BL cars. However, the mini units are a dished metal pressing and a chrome rim, I had to cut away part of the rear dish for the sidelight where it enters the Cibie unit, and also make a piece of metal to hold the rim with the 2 slots onto the screw hole down on the right. Then there is the outer chrome ring that fits over everything and has the extra metal lug riveted onto it!!
