New car has arrived!

My new car arrived today and after driving 400 miles home from Ireland in the Golf in the rain yesterday, all I wanted to do today was 
some more 
It was a difficult decision to part with my previous S but the new one has all of the mechanical mods (and more!) already fitted that I was going to make to mine over the next couple of years for a lot less than it was going to cost me to have them done.
The new one has just been resprayed and needs a bit more TLC on the wheels and seats to finish it off. It will probably get a new hood over the winter.
Apart from replacing all of the normal parts that wear out, the new one has the following upgrades......
Roll bar & harnesses - I know these don't please everyones eye, but having had the need for them in a smash in a Caterham I can overlook their appearance! This was a custom fit jobbie and really tightens up the car - it's far more solid on uneven tarmac than the old one.
Alloy roof struts.
Leven alloy pedals, footplate, handbrake, roof catches.
Rear discs, bigger Cossie front discs and braided hoses - having tried these out I'm glad the harnesses are there to hold me in place!
Limited slip diff.
Custom exhaust - a whole 3.5cm's more ground clearance and a lovely bellowing sound.
The (now famous!) Guglielmi throttle linkage mod + FSE boost valve = 170 bhp on rolling road
Cibie headlights.
Silicone hoses.
Change up warning light.
Battery moved to middle of car to even weight and air filter moved so now it gets cold air, not warm air from radiator.
Pipes to internal airvents redirected to get more cold air to filter.
Gaz suspension.
While it was in bits for the respray I had some smoked rear lenses, clear side repeaters and some new badges fitted. The car goes, stops, handles and "feels" better than any other S I've driven. I'm absa-bloomin-lootly chuffed to bits with it!!
The following pics are from the previous owner, pre-spray (I'll take some more later in the week when I stop driving it at every opportunity) but give an idea of some of the above work.

After fitting the valve the car was set up on a rolling road to fine tune everything and now puts out 170 luverly BHP's
As your not too far away drop me an email and we can meet up for a run if you want. I think that Mycroft, Foxy and Petclub plus a few others around the E. Mids area might be up for it....?

Yeah, the guy who I got it from used it for a bit of sprinting and has a real attention to detail, which shows the way the car is screwed together. For example, he told me yesterday that sometime ago he noticed a rattle from the external door handles when driving so he fitted a return spring to stop it.....Chris
I'm intending to go Ashby in July so look forward to seeing you there.

Only having a laugh - I'd have bought a 2.9 if I hadn't found the V8.
I think looking for one of these cars you've got to be totally open minded to what comes up.
I think its a top decision you buying this car - you'd never recover the cost of all those accessories if you had bought them yourself.
