I've been disconnecting the wiring (still..) - didn't realise it'd take this long but I've finished it today

Anyway, came across this:





And I've checked in 'the bible' and the Granny manual and I have no idea what it is.

Thought it might be some kind of pressure sensor or solenoid type valve.

Any ideas?? (as it's now the only thing under the bonnet without a lable!! )

Whatever it is that hose sure has been rubbing on something....

Unless you are terribly worried about killing the planet, you can junk these heavy carbon filters, blank off the vacuum pipe and ditch the solenoid valve. You can just vent the tank through a piece of rubber hose direct through the boot floor as per the non-cat version.

Cheers JW - thanks for that. Yes the car (for the moment) has Cats, will decide whether to leave it or ditch it when I get round to putting the body back on.
