Any S's going to Castle Combe tomorrow ? Just been out in the garage fitting floats ..

Well, four turned up ! Another mica blue V8S (sorry, never got your name), maroon S3 and a green V8S which every time I saw it looked like the brakes were on fire I like to think we did the S Club proud & kept the newer cars honest. It was funny watching one of them trying to get past a Sagaris ( yeah, yeah I know, think the Sagaris was a recent purchase )!

We were very lucky with the weather and enjoyed a dry track for most of the day. I managed to get a 15min session with Michael Caine - I tell you guys, it was a revelation ! I never realized the S could handle like that. It was like seeing the missus in a sexy new frock. I was going round only just keeping up with Griffs & Chims ( in many cases letting them through) - with Michael in the car we were happily seeing them disappear in the rear view mirror without ever changing out of 4th gear. If you ever get a chance you must try it - get a feel for these fantastic cars performing as they were designed. He also gave me a few tips about setting up the nitrons.

Brilliant day - my mate who drove for a few sessions is now scouring the classifieds !
