What a time for the diff to start rumbling, clutch release bearing as well, I think as sometimes there is a vibration through the pedal, lost a tail ligh and instrument lights as well. SCH? might make it, I can only work on the car at weekends

Re the illumination issue, sounds like it could be a simple fuse. Should be one of the 7.5amp ones (think theres only 2). One of them powers a side light, a tail light and dash illum. Check em, replace faulty one hopefully, if it pops again check ya bulbs and if you take my advice start with the offending tail lamp.
