Bigger front brakes

OK I know this has been discussed before, I've been searching the previous postings.

I can't find a definitive answer.

I've just bought a couple of xr4x4 front calipers , which I understand will allow me to fit 260mm discs to my V8S.
Is this correct ?

Can I just do a swap without fiddling with brake valves etc, or do I need to give that some consideration ?
