Some recommended products & suppliers

The new car I got just over a month ago needed some cosmetic TLC. I thought it worthwhile spreading the word about some products & suppliers I've used that I hadn't tried before cos I think that they are so good. I've found most of these through searching in this forum so thanks to everyone for their suggestions in the past

After watching a demo at S Club a couple of years ago I've finally decided to try these....

So far I've only used the polish and wax but they are great - easy to use and excellent results. Bodywork shampoo is now on order

I knew that the vinyl needed a clean, but I didn't know how much until I tried this cleaner and protectant

I did know that that the leather seats were really grubby so I used the Gliptone cleaner and conditioner. What I thought were cracks in the leather turned out to be creases full of grime.

The clear side indicators and rear smoked lights came from here which were far far cheaper than I found them anywhere else. It's personal choice but I like the rear lights cos they're not too "smoked" and retain some colour....

And finally the wheels were given a thorough going over with good old autosol. I'm sure there's better products but I had a nearly new tube to use up! They're not perfect but look more than acceptable to me from a normal distance and the cost was a lot less than refurb / replacements. They're finished off with some plastic Peugeot nut covers (part number 540809) which at just over £1 each are a lot cheaper that stainless steel nuts!

Ian, Top job! looking good mate. That P21s is good stuff, why people buy vastly overpriced wax is beyond me? Couple of things, first stage I do when I'm prepping a car, is too give it a good claying first. The amount of crap that comes off is staggering. Secondly, be VERY careful with using Autosol on the wheels....ie: dont.... because they have a clearcoat lacquer and that stuff will strip it. Best to use Autogylm Super Resin followed by a quality wax. Started on the engine yet?

I didn't realise autosol messed up the lacquer, but I think that most of the lacquer had already worn off the wheels before I got them!

All of the "dirty bits" were in tip top condition. It was only the cosmetics of interior and exterior that needed some elbow grease and time, so no, I haven't touched the engine bay. It doesn't really need it cos the guy I got it from was very particular about that sort of thing ..... thankfully!!!!

No probs Ian ..... i'm a rather sad individual when it comes to detailing, just ask my wife! she thinks i'm mad, but then, what's wrong with that? My neighbours call my garage halfords because of all the products on the shelves!
Got my car looking very spanky this year, god knows the time i've spent on it recently? I've found one product that I love as a final layer over the P21s and thats Mothers reflections Top Coat, this stuff kicks ar$e for a liquid finish and contains no cleaners, which is nice.
