And it was only about half a mile 
Since I had to move in a bit of a hurry my S was untouched for a year as I spent time buying and sorting the house
Once I'd sorted the house I decided this spring/summer to do some work on the S before it fell apart.Well today I finished most of the major works and believe me some were very major.
So I had to turn the car around today to make working on the rear a bit easier so I drove (on private roads)the s out of its parking spot for the first time since May 2005 
God it felt good
Just got a minor service to do,get an MOT join AA/RAC and tax it

Nice one Col, although thought she was back on the road for a minute. Funny enough I had my first big drive out for a few years too! Took the car up to the Silverstone classic. Although it didn't miss a beat after 5 hours driving I must admit I was glad to get out of it! I forgot about the turning circle that rivals the QE2, the ride that shakes your fillings out over anything but a perfect road and the strain its puts on your leg that holding that accelerator down for a length of time. Maybe i'm getting old but give me my Audi any day. Edited to say, forgot about the crap gearbox too!
